DANCE/movement PROJECTS

While I learn contemporary dance, I am also deeply interested in movement more broadly. As a multidisciplinary artist, I enjoy exploring the connections between movement and sound through combining the harp and dance in performance. I have also ventured into theatre, working on movement with actors.

Choreographer and Performer in the Penguin Parade at Family Fiesta 2025, a highly-interactive roving performance of Emperor Penguins. As Choreographer, I led the team in embodying the physicality of Emperor Penguins and exploring various choreographic shapes. As a Performer, I was Presto the Emperor Penguin. I talked to families, tobogganed around the space, shared fun facts about Emperor Penguins, and interacted with other installations within the festival. Performed from July 9-12 in the Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts, Monash University, Clayton.

MUST's Monday Contemporary Dance Workshops (2025) - Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST)

Creative Producer of MUST's weekly Monday Contemporary Dance Workshops, a series of affordable weekly hour-long dance workshops open to the Monash community. Participants do not need prior dance or movement experience to sign up. In most weeks, I teach a short piece of choreography to a different song. I also curate and mentor Guest Artists, who are students who wish to run their own workshop, in selected weeks. This is done through running an individual session with them prior to the workshop. This is an ongoing project that runs throughout both University semesters in 2025.

Co-Director and Co-Composer in Chrysalis, an hour-long new contemporary dance work by the Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST). Chrysalis explores the ups and downs of growing up, from taking one's first steps to entering adulthood. It was performed from May 7 - 11 in the MUST Space.

Associate Choreographer in Macbeth, directed by Yvonne Virsik. Performed from Sep 26-28 in the Alexander Theatre.

Dance Captain and Harpist/Improviser in Wasteland, a new contemporary dance work by the Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST). Devised completely from scratch, this full-length dance work reimagines T.S. Eliot's poem, "The Waste Land", exploring climate change. After a sold-out premiere season from May 24 - 27 in the MUST Space, it was remounted at Melbourne Fringe Festival 2023 from Oct 18 - 22.
